Commonly known as a Red Banana this glossy beauty is closely related to but not actually a banana plant. We are talking serious foliage here people – huge silky leaves and an upright structure. Originating in Ethiopia this plant needs a really bright spot with stacks of sunshine – the more light the better! Although don’t position too close to the glass of a window as the leaves could become scorched. The more light the plant receives the redder the leaves will be.

Keep soil on the wet side and humidity levels high – regular misting or a pebble tray will help with this.

Feed me throughout the spring and summer and water me with rainwater I will love you for it !
